Get Connected!

To help promote the success of MEP and WEP students, we would like to extend an invitation to all alumni to stay active and connected with Diversity Programs of the College of Engineering.

Email Connections

Feel free to share your success stories and/or memories of the College of Engineering to enlighten current MEP and WEP students about the future work environment they will be entering. The Diversity Programs Office staff will disseminate information and inform you of upcoming activities and opportunities to volunteer. Submit your bio-sketch to Paula Rees at rees@ecs.umass.edu

Connect for Success — Mentoring Network

The Diversity Programs Office Connect for Success Mentoring Network is designed to connect engineering students with peer students and alumni. The program requires students to use their experiences in the College of Engineering and other programs at UMass to positively impact the college experience and career development of their peer students.

The mentoring will be in two tiers:

  • Tier One — Freshmen and sophomores matched with juniors and seniors.
  • Tier two — Juniors and seniors matched with alumni in graduate school or industry.

Volunteering

Diversity Programs offers a variety of opportunities for alumni to get involved, including:

  • Career Days
  • Annual Diversity Programs Awards Luncheon
  • College of Engineering Advisory Board: Diversity Programs Committee
  • Tutoring
  • Student Organizations Support
  • Workshops/Seminars

In order to better advocate for our MEP and WEP students, please let us know about career, internship, and co-op opportunities. If you have any questions on how to support our MEP and WEP students and/or make a financial contribution to Diversity Programs, please contact the College of Engineering Development Office at (413) 545-0282.
